Making Faces

Hehe... So I've been slacking a bit lately with all things online since I have been bombarded day after day with homework! College is no joke! I got bored and was making faces at my laptop camera. Hopefully I can post something more substantial this weekend... (^o^;)

IU - Eye Makeup Tutorial

The "nation's little sweetheart" in South Korea has been really catching the eye of audiences with her great personality, her strong voice, and her pretty appearance. Though I cannot recreate her personality for you and the singing part may come in the future but I'm not quite ready for that yet (Korean is hard to learn!), I will try to recreate one of her makeup styles for you.
Please follow this tutorial from top to bottom and left to right.
1. Here you can see IU herself. Absolutely gorgeous! <3
2. Start with a clean eye. You can put on concealer and foundation if you want to but I am focusing on the eyes only so you can see my Ever Flawed skin.
3. Darken your eyebrows. I used both a matte brown eyeshadow to fill it in and then a bit of mascara on the hairs to make them darker but you can tell it's still nowhere near as dark as IU's! Also try to shape them slightly at a diagonal to the upper and outer direction.
4. Lay down a light shiny yellowish-brown color all over the lid.
5. Take a darker red-brown and pat it in the outer corner of the lid, pulling in up and towards the center slightly above your natural crease. Also place a matte brown color on your lower lid, thinner on the inside and wider towards the outside.
6. Take a highlight color and place in the inner third of your eyelid, also highlighting your tear-duct and eyebrow bone.
7. Line your eyes with a dark liner. Liquid liner would be good but I used gel liner here. Start from the inner tear-duct keeping close to your eyelashes and begin to make it thicker as you get towards the outside. Extend the line past your eye, keeping it mostly straight rather than making a wing.
8. Line your lower lashes all the way to your tear-duct (but not your lower water line), and instead of connecting your line with your upper line, leave an open portion and draw out your line slightly shorter than the upper and create a triangle straight out from your eye.
9. Put mascara on both the top and bottom lashes. Tight-line your upper waterline (please be careful that your eyeliner is not sharp!). Add more brown below the lower liner to soften it.
10. Add single strands of extra long fake eyelashes (this could be done before mascara to make them thicker). Adjust anything that is needed such as adding more highlight or darkening eyeliner.

Enjoy!
